When Paula Fernández and Zahira Sánchez first met at a DJ-course in Havana in 2012, they probably didn’t know few months later they would be the first Cuban women to become professional DJs.
And that’s the story of how PAUZA was born. Since then, these two gorgeous ladies have been rocking every alternative party and festival, proving girls can be as cool and creative when producing music as their male colleagues.
Although house (in its different styles: deep, tech, and others) is their strongest reference, PAUZA also add afro sonorities to their tracks, mixing the most modern of electronic music with Cuba’s traditional. That’s why their songs have the house-rhythm, but also Yoruba singings and Afro-Cuban drums.
You can bet PAUZA's performances are awesome, full of fun, good vibes and energy. Why don’t give them a chance?
