La Dueña (The Owner) is a popular paladar (private restaurant) in Las Tunas. Some say that is due to the quality of its recipes, others due to the kind service, but most think that it is a combination of these variants. It is one of the few restaurants in Las Tunas that offer breakfasts, very Cuban ones, in which coffee, toasts and butter, and eggs can’t be missing.
After a break between 10:00 am and 12:00, it reopens its doors at noon, lunchtime, with a varied menu, basically Cuban, so you won’t miss the congrí (rice and black or red beans cooked together), the suckling pig and the fried vegetables, although you can also find other rather international dishes. As for beverages, you can find anything from juice and sodas to both alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks.
