In what it used to be a beautiful palace of the early twentieth century, now converted into a multi-family building, is the famous palate La Guarida. Located on the third floor of that building, this place converted into a luxury restaurant offers the best dishes of Havana, accompanied by a cultural atmosphere and the daily routine of the residents.
La Guarida is well known for its excellent cuisine and for having been one of the main stages of the Cuban film Fresa y Chocolate, the first in the history of Cuba to be nominated for the Oscars. It has been visited by European monarchs, Heads of State and celebrities of the world of sports and entertainment.
Its cuisine uses as a base traditional Cuban dishes served with elegance and creativity. In it is the taste of Cuba, at the highest level, so it is considered an icon of Cuban cuisine. Customers get delighted with the suckling pig confit with orange sauce, the tuna with sugar cane, the grouper composed of the caimans and their ravioli of osobuco with marrow sauce and pinot grigio perfume, just to mention some of the treats included in the menu.
If you are in Havana or you think about visiting it, do not miss La Guarida. All the greats do it and are delighted with its magic. It is recommended to book in advance to guarantee one of the tables.
