Café Revolución (Revolution Café) is not a café like all others. In this small but cozy space, apart from enjoying multiple varieties of coffee, tea, infusions and juice, getting to know the history of Cuba is one more offer.
From its walls hang photographs and pictures that relate the mark this island has left on humanity all by themselves, a collection of nearly 300 pieces that their owners have safeguarded for more than twenty years.
Within the collection stand out two original documents signed by Fidel Castro and Ernesto Che Guevara in the first days of the revolutionary triumph. Also adorning the café there are pins, bonds from the 26th-July movement, medals, old bills and more than 150 original snapshots of the most crucial moments of the national history. To find out in detail the story behind every relic, the café offers free guided tours.
Regarding cocktails, the prices vary between 1.00 and 2.00 CUC. We especially recommend the cocktail of the house: the coffee Revolución, a mixture of coffee, rum, cocoa, condensed milk, orange juice and chocolate.
