La Fuente is a family run restaurant located in the 10 de Octubre area. The house has been well maintained and as such the splendor has been preserved. Upon arrival clients will find air-conditioned rooms, a splendid outdoors terrace and a well stocked bar.
However the restaurant's outer beauty would be incomplete without its culinary delights. At La Fuente clients will be able to enjoy many of the most prestigious dishes of Cuban and International cuisine. Appetizers consist of hors d’oeuvre and soups; as for main dishes one can enjoy sandwiches, red meats, poultry, seafood and desserts.
A sample of the menu added here speaks for itself: Cold chicken salad, cheese boards, La Fuente croquettes, onion soup, fish and chicken nuggets, lobster and shrimp cocktails, beef carpaccio, all popular pasta dishes, Uruguayan beef fillets, all pork based recipes, lamb au vine, schnitzel, garlic coated shrimp, chocolate cake, flan with ice cream, boniatillo, and French toasts. All accompanied by a mix of weird and wonderful coffee recipes.
If you are unfamiliar with the 10 de Octubre area of Havana and have only dwelled within the confines of its centre, la Fontana is the perfect reason to pull you into the quaint outer districts that herald spectacular architecture and warm, loving Cuban households. La Fuente is situated in one of those magnificent architectural jewels. The house was built in the mid 20th century as a luxury family house at the height of Havana’s property and architectural boom.
