The Schola Cantorum Coralina celebrates this year the 25th anniversary of its foundation. For that reason, and among other activities, it will make a tour of 12 concerts organized by the National Concert Music Center. From September 14 to 29 of this year will take place the tour. The first concert will be in Granma, at the Miguel Benavides Theat Theaters of Manzanillo and Teatro Bayamo respectively, and the closing of the tour will take place in the province of Cienfuegos. Then, they will make presentations in the capital, as part of the festivities.

Founded in 1993 the Schola Cantorum Coralina is one of the most recognized choirs in Cuba. Directed by Alina Orraca, professor of more than one generation of choral singers and directors, highlights its repertpory that includes cuba, latin american and other rythms around the world.
Also known as "Coralina", the choir has been awarded with more than twenty prizes. Tolosa, Torrevieja, Miltengberg, Genmany, Trellew, Argentina, Isla Margarita and Arezzo are cities where Coralina has delighted with its music taking the first awards.
The Schola Cantorum Coralina is also focused in the musical education. For his director the professor Alina Orraca is very important the link between the music and the society that´s why its members develop an intense work to teach children, young and the third age people.
You can not talk about the choral music in Cuba without mention "Coralina". In the renaissence of the cuban choral music this choir plays a primordial rol.
